A wellness camp to assist a devoted friend

Image
Donkey is seen as a marginalized animal in the society. Marathwada's biggest market for these hard working and honest animals is filled every year on the occasion of Malegaon Yatra. For the past 2-3 years, travel has not been completed due to Corona. But this year the yatra was filled with great enthusiasm and the animal show and market were also filled. Thousands of donkeys were bought and sold in the market. During this time, many donkeys got injured during the journey and also fell ill. Also, due to ignorance among donkey parents, their health is very poor as they do not receive regular vaccinations, health checks and treatments. Hence, to help this hard-working companion, a health camp for donkeys was organized by Dharma Donkey Sanctuary and Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sagaroli. In this camp, sick animals were given necessary treatment, disinfection was done by giving free disinfectants and injured donkeys were bandaged and treated.

A letter has recently been received regarding the selection of Mr. Pramodji Deshmukh as Senate member of SRTMU, Nanded by State Governor. At present, he is working as a member of the curriculum board of the university. Now a new responsibility has been added to it. It can be proudly mentioned that he was selected as a member of the University Senate because of his fellowship from Purdue University, his active participation in various discussion sessions in the country and abroad and his thought of building up-to-date education system.
